During diwali, the central government gave gifts to the poor people. It will sell wheat flour under the brand name Bharat Atta at Rs 27.50 per kg. Chick pea will be sold at Rs 60 per kg. The central government has given a huge gift to the people during the diwali celebrations in the country. At present the price of one kg wheat branded flour in the country is between 60 to 70. However, the central government will sell wheat flour at 27.50 per kg under the brand Bharat Ata. Union minister Piyush Goyal launched Bharat auto Delivery vehicles (Mobile Vans) in delhi on Monday. It will be available in 10 kg and 30 kg packs. This flour will be available in 2 thousand stores across the country. It is marketed through National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of india Limited (NAFED), National Cooperative Consumers Federation of india (NCCF), Safal, Mother Dairy and other cooperatives. For this, Union minister Piyush Goyal said that 2.5 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been distributed to various government institutions. According to the Department of Consumer Affairs, the current average price of flour in the country is Rs 35 per kg.

This decision was taken due to the rise in wheat prices. The retail price of unbranded flour in the market is Rs 30-40 per kg, while branded flour is selling at Rs 50-60 per kg. The price of wheat flour is continuously increasing in the country. Realizing that the rise in flour prices during the festive season will be a hardship for the common man, the central government has decided to sell its own brand of flour at a lower price.
