Reports have surfaced that party leadership has given diwali bonuses to DMK executives. Parliamentary elections are due next year. DMK chief and chief minister Stalin has said that he should win 40 constituencies in tamil Nadu and puducherry in this election. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the DMK alliance won 39 seats without being in power. Being in power this time, Stalin's intention is to win 40 out of 40. Therefore, DMK has already started the election work. However, if chief minister Stalin is to achieve the success he envisioned, the cooperation of party leaders and volunteers is very important. However, many DMK executives seem to be dissatisfied now. Therefore, the DMK top brass is planning to appease the party executives before the elections. In that regard, information has already surfaced that party executives are going to be given new posts.
Following this, reports have surfaced that the party leadership has given diwali bonuses to DMK executives. During last diwali, such an arrangement was made by minister Senthil Balaji. Now that he is in jail, sweet boxes have gone to the party officials who thought it would be fine if they got a few laddus. Thus, they say they are happy. DMK currently has 72 districts. The administrators in this have been selected very carefully, the amount has been fixed according to each post and the list has been finalised. It has been reported that the distribution of this amount through district secretaries has started.
According to the information, diwali prizes ranging from Rs. 5 thousand to Rs. 1.50 lakh have been fixed for district administrators, executive committee members, union secretaries, city secretaries, municipal secretaries, ward secretaries, union administrators, polling committee.
It seems that along with the amount given by the party leadership, the party leadership has also instructed the respective district ministers to contribute a specific amount from their own hands. However, there are reports that the district secretaries in some districts are giving an amount instead of the ministers as they have to spend for the parliamentary elections.
