The police department has issued a warning to the students in response to the case of ragging by senior students in a private college in Coimbatore. PSG college of technology is functioning on Avinasi Road, Coimbatore. A hostel is also functioning here in the college campus. An 18-year-old student from Tirupur Rayarpalayam studying in the 2nd year of the college was rocked by the senior students studying in the same college. Last night the senior students went to the hostel room number 225 where the student was staying. They took the student to room number 401 where the senior students were staying. The student was allegedly beaten, beaten and kicked till 5.30 in the morning. After this, the affected student informed his parents about this. The parents from Tirupur saw the student directly and asked about the incident. Later, the distressed parents went to the Peelamedu police station and lodged a complaint after seeing their son severely beaten.


After this, the Peelamedu police immediately called the concerned students and conducted an investigation. In the investigation, it was confirmed that the person was being rocked, assaulted and threatened. Following this, the Peelamedu police arrested 7 students, Tharanidharan and Venkatesh, the second year students, madhavan and Mani, the third year students, and Ayyappan, Santhosh and Yalish, the fourth year students, who were staying in the college hostel. The arrested students have been booked under 6 sections including rocking, illegal speaking, indecent talk, causing injury, causing injury with weapons, threatening to kill, and are being arrested and investigated. coimbatore police Commissioner Santhees met the media about this.
