The NGT team is inspecting the Chambal River Front built at a cost of Rs 1500 crore in Kot, Rajasthan.

Najiti’s team is scanning the documents related to this and collecting whatever evidence is related to this case.

Earlier, the committee formed earlier conducted inspection on wednesday (8 November) and is also

investigating the matter on thursday (9 November). After the petition filed in NGT, the team has started

investigation. This entire matter is related to violation of the Wildlife Protection Act.

A petition has been filed in the National Green Tribunal, after which the NGT has constituted a committee and

sought a report. After which a team of four members has reached Kota. The committee first reached the

Collectorate and talked to the officials. After this, went to Kunhadi area and inspected the riverfront for

several hours. This committee includes Kota's Additional district Collector Administration Rajkumar Singh,

Rana Pratap of Water Resources Department, Sagar Dam Superintending engineer Ejazuddin Ansari,

NGT is investigating these points


The NGT team has sought a report from the concerned departments in this matter. The committee member

said that the committee is looking at what angles, related queries and points can be there regarding

environment, forest and water resources. After this, records have been sought from the Water Resources

Department, pollution Control Board and Forest Department as well as the Urban Development Trust. What

was the situation here earlier and what has been done since? That aspect is also being investigated. Although

this is only the beginning, it may take a lot of time. The team will prepare a complete report and present it in

NGT.
