Reportedly the issue of reservation is increasing in Maharashtra. According to information received from sources after the
general meeting of many OBC leaders including minister Chhagan Bhujbal yesterday, shiv sena UBT MPs
Sanjay Raut, Vinayak Raut and priyanka Chaturvedi will meet President draupadi murmu at 11.30 am today
regarding the demand for maratha reservation. Can demand increase in reservation quota.
General meeting of OBC leaders in Jalna
Manoj Jarange, who emerged as the face of maratha reservation in maharashtra, is already on maharashtra tour.
Jarange has given two months time to the maharashtra government to take a major decision on reservation.
Meanwhile, Jaranga is going among the people and making them aware about reservation and holding meetings.
Yesterday, a meeting of many OBC leaders including maharashtra minister Chhagan Bhujbal, bjp leader
Pankaja Munde, congress leader was held at some distance from the place where Jarange had started his hunger
strike. Manoj Jarange Patil says that the movement will continue until reservation is achieved.
This appeal was made to PM Modi
Manikrao Shinde, founder of maratha Mawala organization, says that prime minister narendra Modi should
pass a resolution in parliament to ensure that Marathas get reservation that meets the legal criteria. Maharashtra
Chief minister Eknath Shinde has assured that he will make all efforts to ensure quota to the community, he
said, adding that if this promise is not fulfilled then the ruling coalition leaders will lose their (electoral)
deposits. The maratha community will get long-term reservation only after the proposal is passed in the
parliament under the leadership of narendra Modi.
