The tamil Nadu government also pointed out that 10 of the important 14 vacancies in government jobs, including the chairman's appointment file, have not been filled by the governor.
In this situation, the case filed by the tamil Nadu government against the governor came up for hearing before the bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud. At that time, lawyer Mukul Rohatki argued that the tamil Nadu governor was delaying the approval of more than 13 bills since 2020. lawyer Wilson argued that the entire people of tamil Nadu were affected because the governor did not give his assent to the bills. Moreover, governor Ravi rejected the bills without giving any reason. The tamil Nadu government also argued that it is not possible to approach the supreme court against the governor every time.

Also, 580 recommendations were received from the state government regarding early release of jail inmates on grounds of good conduct. Out of which, 362 recommendations were approved. While 165 recommendations have been rejected, 53 recommendations are pending and the tamil Nadu governor has informed the supreme Court.
