Ruchira Kamboj, India's permanent representative to the United Nations, underlined India's 'zero-tolerance stance' to terrorism on Tuesday, referring to the continuing conflict between israel and Hamas militants. In his address to the United Nations General Assembly, Kamboj praised humanitarian pauses in battle.

"India has a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism." On the occasion of the international Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people, Kamboj stated, "We also believe that there is a universal obligation to observe international humanitarian law."

"Let me reaffirm our long-standing relationship with the Palestinian people based on deep-rooted historical and people-to-people ties and our consistent support to the people of palestine in the endeavour for statehood, peace and prosperity," she went on to say.

At the UNGA, india also criticised civilian deaths, saying it was "necessary for all parties to demonstrate the utmost responsibility." The humanitarian pauses, according to Kamboj, are a positive step towards ensuring the prompt and ongoing delivery of humanitarian supplies.

"We are aware that the immediate trigger was the terror attacks on october 7 in israel, which were shocking and deserve our unequivocal condemnation." terrorism and hostage-taking can never be justified," she stated. Stay tuned to us.
