Union minister of State L. Murugan has alleged that continuous attacks are going on against scheduled caste people in tamil Nadu. The incident of caste-killing attack on 5 people belonging to the scheduled caste community, including a six-year-old boy, in madurai Perungudi has caused shock. The seriously injured are being treated at the hospital. The police have registered a case regarding the incident and are investigating the two attackers under various sections including the Prevention of Atrocities Act.

Many people are condemning this incident. In that regard, BJP's former state president and Union minister of State L. Murugan has accused that continuous attacks are going on against scheduled caste people in tamil Nadu. He also insisted that the perpetrators should be arrested immediately. In a statement issued by him, he said: "In Perungudi, Tiruparangunram area of madurai district, a gang brutally attacked 5 people belonging to the scheduled caste community with weapons. Shocking information has come out that 4 of them are adults and one is a 6-year-old boy.

After the DMK came to power in tamil Nadu, violence against the Scheduled Castes has been happening on a daily basis. The incident in which a school student and his younger sister were hacked to death in Nanguneri, tirunelveli district has sent shockwaves across tamil Nadu. The tamil Nadu government has not yet taken any action to prevent caste hatred and gun culture from raising its head among the students in that area

In the same Nanguneri, there was a recent attack on a shop near the court by throwing a country-made bomb. police have arrested a student in connection with the incident. The real culprits in these incidents have not been found till date. The police have registered a nominal case and gone nowhere.

The tamil Nadu government and the police are reluctant to take action as some local DMK functionaries are behind the Nanguneri incidents and are supporting some of the perpetrators. Boys were arrested for making a petrol bomb in tirunelveli district's Valliyur and detonating it and releasing a video. The incident took place when the youths from Manimurthyswaram area near tirunelveli were bathing on the bank of Thamirapharani river when a gang of 6 people came there and brutally attacked them. The gang also robbed them of their cell phones.

All the political party leaders, including myself, have requested many times that the tamil Nadu government should take action to prevent caste hatred and weapon culture from raising its head among the students in the southern districts. But because of the interference of his own party, chief minister M. K. stalin is amused as if nothing happened. tamil Nadu police and chief minister M.K.Stalin, who is responsible for that department, have not taken any steps to find the culprits in such crimes and eradicate the weapon culture. This action of the DMK government is indirectly encouraging communal animosity. This affects common people from all communities.

Such incidents are happening again and again as the tamil Nadu government continues to have fun without stopping the communal conflicts in tamil Nadu. Recently, two youths belonging to the Scheduled Community were assaulted near Kopichettipalayam in Erode district and allegedly urinated on their mouths. Now in madurai district too, 5 people belonging to scheduled caste community have been brutally attacked.

The recurring caste conflicts in tamil Nadu have caused great concern to the people of tamil Nadu. I urge the tamil Nadu police and chief minister M. K. stalin, who is responsible for that department, to take action to identify these criminals and eradicate the gun culture in tamil Nadu. I request that the real culprits in the incidents be arrested immediately and brought before the court.”
