The Municipal Corporation of delhi (MCD) postponed to december 9 the special budget meeting to be held on
Friday to present the revised budget estimates for 2023-24 and budget estimates for 2024-25. This information
has been given in an official notice. No reason for the postponement has been given in the notice. The special
budget meeting of the house has been rescheduled for Saturday. It has been said in the notice that this meeting
will be held at 2 pm.
The revised budget estimate was to be presented to MCD Commissioner Gyanesh Bharti in a special budget
meeting at the municipal headquarters. bjp condemned the postponement of the meeting and alleged that copies
of the budget were not provided to the councilors. MCD opposition leader raja Iqbal Singh said, "BJP strongly
condemns any move to postpone the budget." According to the MCD calendar, the annual budget is presented by
december 10. raja Iqbal Singh said, however, it was decided to present the budget on december 8 because
december 9 and 10 are weekends.

On the other hand, Mayor Shaili Oberoi has said that the first transparent draft budget of the AAP ruled
government in MCD will be presented tomorrow. The budget will be finalized with the advice of the people of
Delhi. The budget will be decided after 50–100 meetings in two months with market associations, youth,
