After being elected cm in the bjp legislature party meeting, vishnu Deo Sai met the governor on Sunday. Sai
went to raj bhavan and met Vishwabhushan Harichandan and staked claim to form the government on behalf of
BJP. During this time, bjp State President Arun Sao and Union minister arjun munda were also present with
him. bjp has got majority in chhattisgarh elections. The government will be formed in chhattisgarh after the
green signal from the Governor.
BJP has won 54 out of 90 seats in Chhattisgarh. As soon as bjp gained majority, congress was out of power. A
large number of tribals have voted for BJP. Out of 29 seats reserved for tribals, bjp has won 17 seats while
Congress has won 11 seats. Perhaps that is why bjp has chosen the new cm of the state from the tribal
community. This is the first time in chhattisgarh that bjp has handed over the command of the state to a tribal
leader. Before this, raman singh had got this responsibility during the three terms of BJP.
Decision still pending on swearing in date
Along with the cm, bjp has also announced the names of the deputy cm and the Speaker of the Assembly. On
Sunday, all the newly elected MLAs gathered in the capital Raipur and agreed on the name of vishnu Dev Sai in
the legislative party meeting. His name was announced by former cm Raman Singh. After this, MLAs and
observers of chhattisgarh Sarbananda Sonowal, arjun munda and Dushyant gautam greeted him by garlanding
him. Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma will be the two deputy CMs of the state while raman singh has been elected
the Speaker of the Assembly. However, the date of swearing in has not been announced yet.
