Cancer hospital is to be built in muzaffarpur, Bihar. With this being built, it will be easier for the people of

Muzaffarpur and surrounding areas to get treatment. It is being told that muzaffarpur Cancer Hospital is

expected to start by march 2026. However, answers to some questions related to this were sought by former

Deputy chief minister of bihar and rajya sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi, which he got.

Hospital will be built at a cost of Rs 198.15 crore

Sushil Kumar Modi issued a statement on social media platform Told that the sanctioned amount for Cancer

Hospital in muzaffarpur, bihar is Rs 198.15 crore. The amount released so far is Rs 77.47 crore. The physical

progress and financial progress for the construction work till october 2023 is 35% and 37.58% respectively."

Administrative departments which include Medical and General Administration, Human Resource

Development, Accounts, IT, Engineering, Stores and Purchase, Security and Fire. The hospital functions as a

clinical setting with preventive oncology, medical oncology, pediatric oncology, head and neck oncology,

breast and gastro-intestinal oncology, gynecological oncology, anesthesiology and laboratories for

histopathology, cytopathology, hematopathology, biochemistry, microbiology. Departments have been opened

temporarily.

Expected to be ready by march 31, 2026

Told that about 1400 patients are treated every month for chemotherapy and about 60 major surgeries and 130

minor surgeries are performed. He said that starting radiotherapy services, upgrading medical and surgical

facilities and setting up residential facilities for the staff are some of the future plans. Said that the hospital is

expected to be ready by 31.03.2026.
