Accordingly, forbes has published the list of top 10 richest indians in 2023.
Mukesh Ambani tops this list..Mukesh Ambani, Managing director and Chairman of reliance Industries, is the richest man in India. His property value is Rs.7,82,000 crore. According to a forbes report, reliance Industries' Rs. 8 lakh crore ($104 billion) in revenue. It is involved in various sectors like petrochemicals, oil and gas, retail, telecom and many more. Ambani's three children Akash, anand and Isha are actively involved in managing various divisions of the group.
Gautam Shantilal Adhani is ranked 2nd in the list of top 10 richest people in India. A businessman, the founder and chairman of the adani Group has a net worth of Rs 5,99,000 crore. Adani's company is a multinational company engaged in port operations and development within India. The adani Foundation was established by gautam adani in 1996 and is chaired by his wife Prithi Adani. The group's business interests span a wide range of sectors including ports, airports, power generation and transmission and green energy. adani is recognized as India's largest airport operator and also controls the country's largest port in Gujarat, Mundra. In january 2023, Hindenburg Research, an American firm, accused adani and his companies of financial fraud. Notably, after the report was released, shares of adani Group companies went into free fall, resulting in a loss of $120 billion in their market value.

In late 2022, he donated Rs.1,161 crore.

Savitri Jindal is ranked 4th in the list of top 10 richest people in India. He is the chairman of Jindal Group and his net worth is Rs.2,40,000 crore. India's richest woman is savitri Jindal.

Cyrus Poonawalla, a key figure in vaccine development in India, is at number 5 on the list. His property value is Rs.1,83,000. He is the President of Serum Institute of India. The serum company has earned the title of being the world's largest vaccine manufacturer. Cyrus Poonawalla's net worth has increased significantly after the widespread use of Covid-19 vaccines.

Dilip Shanghvi of sun Pharmaceuticals is at number 6 on this list. His property worth Rs. 1,66,000 crores.

Aditya Birla Group chairman Kumar Birla is at number 7 on the list. His net worth is Rs 1,55,000 crore.. The company, a leader in the aluminum and cement sectors, also offers group financial services. Recently, Birla's children, ananya and Aryaman, have joined the board of his flagship companies. Kushal Pal Singh is ranked 10-* in this list. His net worth is Rs.1,25,000 crore. He is the chairman of DLF, India's largest listed real estate company. An army veteran, he joined DLF in 1961, started by his father-in-law, and served as its chairman for more than five decades.
