TRG Datacenters set out to find out which mobile applications were the most dissatisfied users this year. There are 4.8 billion social media users worldwide. This is 59.9% of the world population. It is said to represent 92.7% of the total internet users. social media users use an average of 6.7 different networks each month. They spend an average of 2 hours and 24 minutes a day on social media. In this case, Facebook's parent company Meta launched an app called 'Threads' in July 2023. Meta, which already owns instagram and Facebook, launched the 'Threads' app to compete with Twitter.
Within five days of its release, 'Threads' hit a record 10 crore users. However, by August, the number of daily users had dropped by 80%. It has been reported that the time users spend using the 'Threads' app has also decreased. In July, users averaged 21 minutes of daily use, which dropped to just three minutes in November. Against this backdrop, TRG Datacenters set out to find mobile applications that have garnered user dissatisfaction this year. The research was started by choosing 9 most popular social networking sites worldwide. It looked at the number of users who searched for how to delete an account in the last 12 months. It said it analyzed the average number of searches per month.
Accordingly, it has been revealed that more users want to delete their instagram account. More than 10 lakh users have searched 'how to delete my instagram account', according to TRG. instagram has over 200 million users worldwide. However, the TRG report says that if 10 lakh people deleted their accounts every month, there would be a big drop in a year.
Instagram is followed by Snapchat which has received the most dissatisfaction from users. Nearly 130,000 people have tried to delete their Snapchat accounts every month this year. Although this number is significantly lower than instagram, it is a large part of its total user base (7.5 crore).
