While Vijayakanth's body has been kept in the Thital area of the island for public tribute, the funeral will be held at the DMDK office this evening. It has been reported that instead of the place selected yesterday, the burial will be done at a different place, the DMDK office. DMDK leader Vijayakanth passed away early yesterday due to ill health. After this, his body was kept at his Virugampakkam house for some time and brought to the Demudika office for public tributes. Lakhs of volunteers paid tearful tributes to the body of DMD chief Vijayakanth from 11 am till early this morning. The crowd continues to increase every hour in paying homage to Vijayakanth's body. As the body is to be buried today, it is reported that the crowd will increase. It is also said that volunteers and fans from many districts have flocked to chennai to pay their last respects to Vijayakanth.



Due to this, there was a shortage of space in the Koyambedu DMDK office and there was heavy crowding. Following this, Vijayakanth's body was taken to the island for public tributes this morning. The public and prominent VVIPs will pay their respects to Vijayakanth's body till one o'clock in the afternoon today. Following this, after one o'clock in the afternoon, Vijayakanth's body will be taken in a procession. The body will be cremated at the DMDK office at 4:45 pm.




In this situation, the place where Vijayakanth's body will be buried had been selected in the DMDK office. Now it is said that the burial will be done at another place in the complex. It has been reported that the place of burial has not yet been decided. It seems that another convenient place will be selected in the DMDK office itself to build a memorial hall for Vijayakanth.


The JCP vehicle is still awaiting burial as the burial site is yet to be chosen. So it is said that soon a new place will be selected and the pit will be dug. Meanwhile, lakhs of people gathered at the DMDK office yesterday and paid floral tributes. Corporation employees have started the work of removing these flower garlands. It is reported that 2 tons of this garbage alone has been removed.
