As the parliamentary elections are still 3 to 4 months away, the AIADMK has withdrawn from the bjp alliance in tamil Nadu, and it has been reported that O. Panneer Selvam is going to meet Modi, who came to tamil Nadu today, but the non-meeting has raised questions. After Jayalalitha's death as AIADMK General Secretary, the power struggle in AIADMK continues unabated. Initially, O. Panneer Selvam launched a charity against Sasikala. After this, Sasikala and TTV Dhinakaran had to go to jail, so Palaniswami took control of the tamil government along with O. Panneer Selva, excluding those two people. In the 2019 parliamentary elections, the first election held after the death of Jayalalithaa, the AIADMK formed an alliance with the bjp and contested the elections. AIADMK won only 1 seat in this election. The AIADMK lost power in the assembly elections that followed.

After this, the dual leadership of the AIADMK was criticized as the reason for the series of defeats. After this, while there was a single leadership slogan in support of Edappadi Palaniswami, O. Panneer Selvam raised his voice against it. After this again the conflict between OPS-EPS intensified. The verdict was announced that the appointment of Edappadi Palaniswami as General Secretary will go ahead despite the ongoing legal struggles. As a result, O. Panneer Selvam was left alone and the question arose as to what decision he was going to take next. DTV Dhinakaran, in particular, was expected to contest against Edappadi along with Sasikala.

But in response to all this, the AIADMK suddenly left the alliance with the BJP. As a result, bjp has to form a new alliance in tamil Nadu. In this situation, O. Panneer Selvam had already announced that his team will be in the bjp alliance in tamil Nadu. It was expected that O. Panneer Selvam will meet prime minister Modi, who is currently in Trichy, today to confirm it. But the meeting did not take place at Trichy airport. So it is reported that bjp wants to contest the parliamentary elections with AIADMK.

It has been reported that the meeting was not held because the Edappadi team might be dissatisfied if this meeting is held with OPS. At the same time, parties including IJK, New Justice party and New tamil Nadu are expected to join the BJP-led alliance in tamil Nadu. While there has been no progress in the alliance agreement till now, the AIADMK is also planning to bring parties including the DMK, BMC and tamil State congress to their side.
