indore has now created a new record by doing research on cleanliness, after coming first in the country regarding cleanliness six times in a row. In such a situation, perhaps the country's first PhD on cleanliness has been done by the school of Journalism and mass Communication of Devi Ahilya University, Indore. The special thing is that 223 years of history of cleanliness of indore has come to the fore in the resort. The title of the PhD research is 'Role of media in creating awareness about cleanliness in indore city'.
indore city, which has been winning the title of the cleanest city in the country for the last 6 years, has added another achievement in the name of cleanliness. The first PhD on cleanliness has been obtained from the school of Journalism and mass Communication of Devi Ahilya University. Jitendra Jakhetia has done this research under the direction of Department Head Dr. Sonali Nargunde. In research, Jakhetia did his research by focusing on indore on the ongoing cleanliness campaign in the country. Dr. Nargunde said that the research has included all the efforts from the history of cleanliness campaign till now.
700 sanitation workers filled the questionnaire
In the research, questionnaires were filled by 700 people, especially sanitation workers, and the research work was done after in-depth study of 300 books and articles. To test all the steps related to the cleanliness campaign of indore on the criteria of usefulness, indore was also compared with other 4 cities of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Gwalior. In the research, the history of cleanliness of indore for the last 223 years has been highlighted in detail. The first work on cleanliness in indore started in the year 1800. Sanitation works took place from the plague epidemic of 1810 to the present day.
