The Central Crime Branch informed the court that 900 people have been made guilty in the Senthil balaji fraud case. In 2014, when Senthil balaji was serving as the transport minister in the AIADMK regime, there was a complaint that he was involved in fraud by claiming to get a job in the transport sector. In July 2021, the chennai High court canceled the case against Senthil balaji and others in this regard. After hearing the appeals filed against this, the supreme court quashed the order of the chennai High court and ordered a full investigation in this case from the beginning in september 2022.

However, a contempt of court case was filed in the supreme court alleging that the concerned Central Crime Branch police officers failed to implement the supreme Court's order. In august last year, the supreme court, which heard the matter, ordered the chennai Central Crime Branch police to complete the Senthil balaji case by september 30.

Accordingly, they filed an additional chargesheet against Senthil balaji in the special court that hears cases against MPs and MLAs in chennai District Collectorate last September.

Following this, the Central Crime Branch police, which conducted the investigation, filed an additional chargesheet against Senthil balaji in the special court that hears cases against MPs and MLAs in the chennai District Collectorate last September. In this situation, when the case came up for hearing again today, it was reported that permission and consent letter to investigate some other accused in the case was not received. At that time, it was reported that they were unnecessarily included in the case on behalf of some transport corporation employees who were to be included as criminals.

Subsequently, around 900 people have been included in the additional charge sheet. Therefore, the court adjourned the hearing to february 2, saying that the next phase of proceedings can be started only after everyone is allowed to testify.
