The Dravida model DMK government, which has a tendency to sticker the work done by others and show it as their work, has also opened this bus station as kalyan Centenary bus Terminal as a matter of urgency. L. Murugan alleged that tamil Nadu chief minister M. K. stalin had opened the Klambakkam bus stand on the 30th in consideration of the parliamentary elections without planning bus facilities for people to come and go.
Union minister of State L. Murugan has issued a statement in this regard: To reduce the traffic congestion in chennai and considering the increasing traffic needs in the future, a plan was created to construct a new bus station at Klambach during the AIADMK regime. 90 percent of the work was completed when there was a change of government and the DMK government came into office. The DMK government, which took office in May 2021, has not completed even the remaining 10 percent of the work in the last two and a half years.
Tamil Nadu chief minister M.K.Stalin has inaugurated the Klambakkam bus station on the 30th in view of the parliamentary elections without planning bus facilities for people to come and go without completing the works. The Dravida model DMK government, which has a tendency to sticker the work done by others and show it as their work, has also opened this bus station as kalyan Centenary bus Terminal as a matter of urgency.
From this bus station, buses are running to Nellai, Nagercoil, Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari, Madurai, Ramanathapuram, Theni and Dindigul. But there are no bus facilities from other parts of Chennai. Travelers from outside places arriving at Klambakkam also find it difficult to reach chennai city. There is a plight of having to pay hundreds of rupees to travel in cars and autos.
In this case, the citizens are protesting by capturing the buses leaving from Clambakkam bus station. The residents of the area have staged this protest claiming that buses are plying through the service road causing inconvenience. people have also complained that they are not able to use the service road due to the plying of buses and that the traffic police are turning away school buses on the road used by government buses. While a bus station is being constructed at Klambach, there is not enough road facility to ply buses in that area. Apart from that, the bus stand was opened on an emergency basis and no facilities were provided to the passengers. Why did the DMK government not complete the work in a proper manner, showing urgency in naming the bus station after Karunanidhi?
Ministers say that the problems at Klambakkam bus stand will be fixed by the coming Pongal. Why not open the bus station after making facilities? Why did they open the bus stand in a rush to claim it would be opened in 2023? There are fewer seats in the outbound bus stand at Clambakkam bus Stand. There is not even a seat in the areas where city buses operate. There is no direct facility to go to the suburban and suburban bus stand and from there to the city bus stand.
It is not possible for passengers to easily reach the city bus stand and the area where the intercity buses stop. There is no Amma Restaurant where the poor and needy can get food at a low price. A few days after opening, the toilet is not properly maintained and people cannot enter it. Garbage is scattered everywhere. There is no notice board for easy passage of people. There is no medical facility for emergency medical treatment. Passengers who come there have many grievances like this. Therefore, L. Murugan has said that the Dravida model DMK government should urgently open the Klambakkam bus station and provide proper facilities to the passengers.
