Four 'benami' properties of absconding terrorist-don dawood ibrahim Kaskar in Mumbke village of Ratnagiri district, where he and his family spent his early childhood, will be auctioned on friday afternoon. His family spent his childhood

The property, spread over a total of 21,275 square metres, is where 67-year-old Dawood and his siblings spent their early childhood before moving to mumbai in the late 1970s. They are: two farmhouse plots of 10,420.5 square meters (reserve price Rs 9.4 lakh) and 8,953 square meters (Rs 8 lakh), along with two smaller plots of about 171 square meters (Rs 15,440) and 1,730 square meters (Rs 1.5 lakh).

How is the property?

Today's much-awaited auction will be conducted simultaneously in 3 modes – e-auction, public auction or sealed tenders. The government has kept the total reserve price at around Rs 19 lakh for all properties that are classified as 'agricultural land'. A dilapidated structure stands on a plot of land. The conditions of e-auction stipulate that the properties will be sold on “as is where is” and “as is what is” basis, and it will be the responsibility of the bidder to get the property/properties transferred/registered in his/her account .

What do government records say?
