Tamil Nadu is a pioneer in skill development training, said the Chairman of the university Grants Committee. The Southern Regional Vice Chancellors Conference was held at thanjavur Shastra Online University. The conference discussed the implementation of the National education Policy. UGC Chairman K. Jagadish, who attended the conference as a special guest, gave an interview to the media. Similarly, the best central educational institutes including IIT chennai are also located here. Through this, tamil Nadu is also a pioneer in the industry as the best skill development training is imparted in tamil Nadu and skilled human resource is created. Because of this, tamil Nadu's contribution to indian economic development is also important.
But globally the education sector is very competitive. Therefore, there is a need to improve the quality of our educational institutions at par with the quality of global universities. Thus, the focus is on improving the quality of our educational institutions so that the students get the best potential.
The enrollment of students from the states of tamil Nadu and kerala in central universities has increased more than before. Central universities have facilities for equal admission of students from all states across the country. In order to implement the National education Policy, activities are being carried out in full swing for the last one year. For this a Vice-Chancellors conference is being held in a total of 5 zones zone wise. Conferences have already been held in the West and North Zones. Following this, the third South Zone conference has been held in Thanjavur. More than 200 Vice-Chancellors and academics participated in this, he said.
