The political landscape in andhra pradesh is currently witnessing increased activity and tension as elections approach.  A similar trend is observed in the telugu desam party (TDP), where discontented members are exploring alternative political affiliations. However, political observers suggest that the current wave of defections may only be the tip of the iceberg. The prevailing sentiment is that the real political maneuvering will intensify after the sankranti festival, which is considered a lull period for political activities.
 
It is anticipated that more party members, particularly from the YSRCP, may switch allegiances after the festival. There are speculations about jagan Mohan Reddy's sister, Sharmila, taking charge of the congress party either post-Sankranti or after her son's wedding. This development is expected to trigger a new phase in andhra pradesh politics.

Some leaders are reportedly formulating strategies to align themselves with the Jana Sena party, indicating potential shifts in political alignments. Furthermore, the Bharatiya Rajyanga Samithi (BRS) from a neighboring state is reportedly planning to contest in 4 to 6 seats in Andhra Pradesh.
