7 new districts coming up in tamil Nadu soon! When is the notification?

According to reports, Kumbakonam, Pollachi, Kovilpatti, Palani, Arani, Vrudhachalam and Gobichettipalayam will be the new districts.


It has been reported that seven new districts are emerging in tamil Nadu. It is said that there is a plan to divide these new districts for

administrative reasons and based on long-standing public demand.


Currently there are 38 districts in tamil Nadu. Finally, on 24th march 2020, Nagapattinam district was divided and mayiladuthurai district

was formed as the 38th district. Before that, 5 new districts were formed in 2019.


Five districts were bifurcated in november 2019. 5 new districts were formed namely Thenkasi district (33) separated from Nellai district,

 Kallakurichi district (34) separated from Villupuram district, Tirupattur district (35) and Ranippet district (36) separated from Vellore district, Chengalpattu district (37) separated from kanchipuram district.


District heads were appointed for these new districts on november 16 of the same year. Even then, people from many districts are submitting

petitions to the government demanding a separate district. In this case, it is said that 7 new districts are emerging in tamil Nadu.


According to reports, Kumbakonam, Pollachi, Kovilpatti, Palani, Arani, Vrudhachalam and Gobichettipalayam will be the new districts.
