Rajya Sabha member and lawyer Kapil Sibal on thursday rejected maharashtra assembly Speaker rahul Narwekar's rejection of petitions seeking disqualification of MLAs from chief minister Eknath Shinde's faction. Described as 'a drama and farce' written long ago. Sibal said on his social media post, "The script of the drama of the decision taken by the Speaker was written long ago. We are watching this drama happening. This is the tragedy of the mother of this democracy." In fact, assembly Speaker rahul Narvekar ruled on wednesday that Shinde's faction is the real Shiv Sena. Also, Speaker rahul Narvekar rejected the demand of disqualifying the MLAs of his group.


What did cm Eknath Shinde say?

Narvekar said that the 10th Schedule of the Constitution cannot be used to suppress inter-party disagreements and indiscipline. He also rejected the Shinde faction's petition to disqualify 14 assembly members (MLAs) of the thackeray faction, citing some technical glitches. While talking to journalists after the Speaker's decision, chief minister Shinde took a dig at uddhav Thackeray's shiv sena and its ally congress and said that this decision is a blow to the people who run political parties through dynasty rule. This is the victory of truth and democracy.

cm Shinde said that this is the victory of shiv sena workers and the people of Maharashtra. In democracy, majority matters for this decision. This decision is based on merit. No one can use any political party as personal property.
