As per report Sharad Pawar-led nationalist congress party (NCP) on monday reviewed the party's position on 10 lok sabha seats in maharashtra ahead of the general elections to be held in the first half of this year. Pawar interacted with party officials from mumbai North East, Bhiwandi, Dindori, Madha, Kolhapur, Ahmednagar, Satara, Beed, Hingoli and Raver in Jalgaon. Pawar had held a similar meeting for 15 seats in October. In July last year, ncp broke after ajit pawar and eight MLAs joined the Eknath Shinde government.

Meanwhile nationalist congress party (NCP) leader and maharashtra Deputy chief minister ajit pawar on sunday took an indirect dig at his uncle sharad pawar over his age, saying that some people remain involved in politics even after being above 80 years of age. Don't want to retire. Addressing party workers in Thane, ajit pawar said, “Maharashtra government employees retire at the age of 58. Most people usually stop their active professional life after they turn 75 years of age. But there are some people (like Sharad Pawar) who are not ready for retirement even after crossing the age of 80 and now being 84.

ajit pawar and some MLAs loyal to him had joined the Shiv Sena-BJP government in July last year. After this, he claimed the name and election symbol of NCP. This move was challenged by ncp founder sharad pawar in the election Commission. Ajit said, “We are here to work and we will work.” He said that he has joined the state government to serve the people. Giving an indirect warning to activist Manoj Jarange, who is leading the movement for reservation for the maratha community, Ajit said that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
