In view of this, devotees of Muruga from various districts have been making a pilgrimage since now.
Ahead of pongal and subsequent holidays, thousands of devotees take milk kavadi, unit punch, bird kavadi and sugarcane cradles on the Kriwala path and pay various kinds of fines. Devotees are waiting for darshan at electric traction train and rope car stations for up to 3 hours, and free darshan and special paid route darshan for up to 3 hours.
