Traffic is generally slow on Annasalai, sv Patel Road and GST Road, so motorists are advised to plan their journey to take alternate routes avoiding these roads.

** commercial vehicles will not be allowed to ply from Anna Arch to Muthusamy Road junction in both directions.


** vehicles coming from Poontamalli Highway will turn at Anna Arch and be diverted to New Avadi Road via Anna Nagar.


**Vehicles coming towards Barimuna from North chennai will be diverted from NRT New Bridge and will be diverted around Stanley via Mint Junction, Moolakotthalam Junction, Basin Bridge Top and Vyasarpady.

PM Modi will arrive in chennai at 4.50 pm on the 19th (tomorrow) by flight from Bengaluru. At 6pm, Kelo india will participate in the opening ceremony at the Nehru Indoor Stadium. Then, at 7.45 pm, he goes to Governor's house by car and rests.


On january 20, prime minister Modi will arrive at chennai Airport at 9.20 am and from there take a flight to Trichy and will visit Srirangam Ranganatha temple at 10.55 am. At 2.05 pm, prime minister Swamy will have darshan at Rameswaram Ramanatha Swamy Temple.


On the morning of january 21, prime minister Modi will take a holy dip in the Rameswaram Agni Theertha and participate in the pujas at the Ramanatha Swamy Temple. From there at 10.05 am the prime minister will go to Dhanushkodi Arichalmunya by road. He participates in the prayers at the Gotandarama temple there from 10.25 am to 11 am. Subsequently, prime minister Modi will arrive at madurai Airport by helicopter at 11.05 and depart for delhi from there.
