As per report former AAP mla Bhupendra Bhayani had resigned from the gujarat assembly a month ago. Now he announced on wednesday that he will join bjp next month i.e. February. Bhayani said that he will join bjp during a public rally at Visavadar seat along with 2000 supporters. He was the mla from this seat of Junagadh. Bhupendra Bhayani said that this rally will be taken out on 3rd february during which he will take membership of BJP. Bhayani said, “I have organized a program in my native village Bhesan. Where I will join bjp along with my supporters in the presence of party's state unit president CR Patil ji. I will continue to work for the development of the people and my assembly constituency." On the question of getting ticket in the assembly by-election, he said, "As far as giving ticket is concerned, it is the job of bjp to decide."
Meanwhile Bhayani had announced his resignation on 13 december 2023. He had submitted his resignation to gujarat assembly Speaker shankar Chaudhary. He was among the five bjp MLAs who were elected in the assembly elections. In this, bjp got a huge majority. bjp had won 156 seats in the elections held for the 182-member assembly. This was the first time that the aam aadmi party had won seats in the gujarat assembly elections.
Bhupendra Bhayani was elected mla for the first time by winning the 2022 elections. He won by defeating BJP's harshad Ribadia and became MLA. Now he is going to join BJP. Bhayani had defeated BJP's harshad Ribadia in the elections by 7 thousand 63 votes. After resigning from AAP, he had said that if the people of my area ask, I will join BJP.
