That being the case, it is natural to expect that Netaji is a man to be celebrated. But the truth is that Netaji was not admired to any great extent.” He said.
Governor ravi said that if it was not for Netaji, india would not have achieved independence in 1947, "Look at the history of the freedom struggle movement led by mahatma Gandhi. After 1942 he did not conduct any protest. They were all fighting for themselves. Led by Mohammad Jinnah, the Muslim League was asking for a separate country. According to Islamic leaders, the country was divided into two. The british were happy to see it. But Netaji was fighting on one side. In 1946, soldiers serving in the british Navy revolted. Due to this, they felt insecure in india and wanted to leave. They left the country in the next 15 months.” He said.
