Minister rajeev Chandrasekhar attended and addressed the IESA Vision Summit 2024 held in the capital Delhi on Thursday.
Speaking at the event, he said, "We will soon establish the indian Semiconductor Research Center, which will act as a hub for future-proof semiconductor innovation for all sectors. We will soon launch another project. This project, called wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital india futureLABS, will involve government laboratories, indian startups, large corporations and "It will be a joint venture involving electronics sector corporations. It will focus on technology for the future, including Tier 1 suppliers and the automotive industry," he said.
"Digital india FutureLABS aims to establish a framework for research and innovation to develop India's electronics and information technology sector. It will promote sustainable development and technological advancement and strengthen domestic innovation. FutureLABS (futureLABS), in collaboration with C-DAC nodal agency, will work in automotive, telecommunication, electronics, etc. It will also facilitate collaboration between startups and multinational corporations." minister rajeev Chandrasekhar also said.
Minister rajeev Chandrasekhar also highlighted the visionary steps taken by the prime minister Modi-led government in the electronics manufacturing sector. He noted that the environment for startups and big companies has increased.
"Over the past several years, there has been an increase in encouraging innovation, supporting startups, and achieving significant success in the Internet sector. We are seeing a lot of startups and investment opportunities being created. This has created an innovative environment. It has become one of the most exciting and fastest growing systems in the world." said the minister.
"The vision of the government led by prime minister Modi has created the infrastructure and investments to expand the semiconductor industry. This initiative in the technology sector ensures the ability to meet the growing demands due to digitization across the globe. The impact has also spread across the automotive, computer, wireless telecommunications and industrial applications," the minister added.
