The Municipal Corporation of delhi (MCD) and New delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) have said in their instructions issued a day ago that the business organizations of delhi should remove the flags with the image of Lord ram only as per the prescribed standards. New delhi Municipal Council has issued guidelines for disposal of the national flag in view of the Republic Day celebrations on january 24. At the same time, MCD has not yet issued any instructions on this. NDMC has also released a centralized number and mobile application for the general public and people of delhi Traders organizations for systematic disposal of flags. It has also appealed to the people to deposit flags at the sanitation offices of NDMC located at 14 places in the area governed by the civic body.
10 lakh flags were put up in the capital
An NDMC official said on january 24 that the MCD and NDMC have appealed to everyone to carefully remove flags and banners carrying images of Lord ram and Hanuman. In fact, according to the Chamber of Trade and Industry, an organization of about 800 business organizations in delhi, 10 lakh flags were installed in 700 markets of the capital on the occasion of Ramlala pran Pratistha ceremony.
