After taking charge of the Energy Department, Heeralal nagar is continuously working on new sources of energy in the state. In this sequence, efforts are being made to reduce dependence on traditional energy sources. The rajasthan government is going to adopt the model of maharashtra to supply electricity to the farmers during the day by promoting solar energy production and improving the power distribution system.
A team of officials from the Energy Department will soon visit maharashtra and study the policy changes made in this direction by the government there and the successful results achieved through it. After which a strategy will be prepared regarding their implementation here as per the geographical conditions of Rajasthan.
State minister of State for Energy (Independent Charge) Heeralal nagar met maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde in mumbai in this regard. During this time, Principal Secretary Energy of maharashtra government Abha Shukla was also present. It is noteworthy that chief minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Heeralal nagar recently met Union New and Renewable Energy minister R. Of. Had met Singh. During this, Singh had suggested them to adopt the model of maharashtra government towards reducing dependence on traditional sources of energy.
Farmers are earning profits by selling solar panel electricity
During the meeting with the Energy minister, maharashtra cm Eknath Shinde said that with the aim of promoting green energy in the state, a large number of irrigation pumps running on traditional energy sources are being converted into solar pumps. Due to this campaign of maharashtra government to increase the use of solar powered pumps, farmers are getting electricity for irrigation work even during the day. This has also helped in reducing pollution. Not only this, farmers are earning profit by selling the excess electricity produced through solar panels to the government or private power company. He said that maharashtra is the leading state in the country to take the initiative to shift agriculture to solar energy.
