The UPA government led by sonia gandhi presented the Interim Budget 2014-15 after 10 years of rule. Following this, the Modi-led nda government today presented the interim budget for 2024-25 after 10 years of rule. Let us now look at the differences between these two interim budgets…

Modi- sonia

The 10-year-old United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government acted dishonestly and resorted to deceitful means to protect its reputation. But at the same time 10 years of nda government made india the best economy in the world.

Interim Budgets

1) The february 2014 Interim Budget was presented by the then Finance minister P. Chidambaram. Subsidies on oil and fertilizers (Rs 35,000 crore) for 2013-14 were dishonestly pushed to the next year to artificially reduce the existing deficit. This affected the liquidity of these companies, killing growth.

2) Planned spending was again reduced to maintain the deficit. It is Rs. 80,000 crore. As a result, productive investment has reached unprofitable levels.

3) Payments to Infra and other institutions have been completely stopped. As a result, growth was stunted.

4) Between 2005 and 2014, government capital expenditure fell from 23% to 14%. Not surprisingly, unemployment increased during these years.

The nda government has turned its 10-year rule into a year of growth, high employment opportunities and employment generation. These 10 years have completely changed since the UPA regime.

While the UPA government has destroyed high growth. Unable to create jobs. At the same time, prime minister Modi's economic management has been very good in these 10 years.

As the prime minister himself said – “We are in the “sweet spot.” Compared to the 10-year UPA of the sonia gandhi / manmohan singh regime, there is no doubt that Modi is taking india on a growth path.
