congress mla Rajinder Rana from Sujanpur, himachal pradesh has resigned from his post. In his resignation letter sent to congress national president mallikarjun Kharge, Rajinder Rana said, "I immediately resign from the post of working president of himachal pradesh congress Committee." mla Rajinder Rana was elected mla from Sujanpur assembly in the 13th assembly on congress ticket.

Actually, after the himachal pradesh Rajya Sabha elections, there is political turmoil in the state. Despite absolute majority in the assembly, congress candidate abhishek Manu Singhvi had to face defeat. Six congress MLAs voted for the bjp candidate by cross voting. Rajinder Rana was also included among the congress MLAs who had cross-voted. He had posted on social media platform X (earlier Twitter) regarding rebellion against Congress.

'Anti-promise...an entire book will have to be written'

Taking a jibe at the congress high command, Rajinder Rana wrote on social media that his commitment, loyalty, dedication, trust and responsibility are to the people and not to some dwarf emperor sitting at the pinnacle of power. He further wrote that you all will remember the promise we had made to the public as a congress worker during the himachal pradesh assembly elections. You believed in our promise and gave us an opportunity to turn our promise into reality by giving your valuable vote. But the reality of these promises is that if I were to sit down to write about the breach of promise today, an entire book would have to be written.

social media post started speculation

In the year 2017, Rajinder Rana came into limelight when he defeated former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal in the elections. Earlier, while targeting the congress government, Rajinder Rana said that I was left with two options. The first of which is that I should enjoy power by joining the cabinet of Sukhu government and sound the flute of happiness by registering my name in the congress courts of Delhi. Rana said that the second option is to rebel to keep the Sanatan culture intact, to save Himachal and Himachali, which I am following. After this post of Rajinder Rana, speculations about his resignation started in political circles.
