congress has released its first list of 39 candidates for the lok sabha elections 2024. congress leader rahul Gandhi's name is also in this list and rahul gandhi will again contest elections from wayanad seat of Kerala. Meanwhile, UP deputy chief minister Keshav prasad Maurya has taken a dig at rahul gandhi contesting the elections from wayanad and not from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.
UP deputy cm Keshav prasad Maurya posted on X and wrote - "Congress chief ran away from Amethi, this time there will be defeat in wayanad also. Third_time_Modi_government, this_time_crosses 400." Let us tell you that congress and Samajwadi party are contesting the elections in alliance for 80 lok sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh. In this alliance, congress will contest elections on 17 seats in UP and for this the party will soon announce the names of its candidates.
Talking about possible candidates of congress, the party can field UP congress President ajay Rai from Varanasi. However, its official announcement has not been made yet by the party. congress had contested the 2019 lok sabha elections alone. In this election, congress had won only one seat, in which only sonia gandhi had won from Rae bareli seat. Let us tell you that bjp has released its list of 51 candidates in UP. With this, bjp has left two seats in UP for its ally RLD, two seats for Apna Dal (S) and one seat for Om Prakash Rajbhar's party Subhaspa. Whereas RLD has declared its candidates for both its seats, Baghpat and Bijnor. Along with this, Subhashpa has also announced the name of Arvind Rajbhar from Ghoshi seat.
