Avery Verma, known affectionately as Ema Kadha, has a rich political history entrenched in the pithapuram Assembly. Verma's appeal transcends party lines, garnering support from various segments of society. He has evolved into a figure revered by all, rather than just a select few.

His foray into politics began in 2009, contesting from the tdp and securing forty-five and a half thousand votes. However, by 2014, when denied the tdp ticket in favour of PV Vishwam, Verma contested as an independent and garnered an impressive 97,511 votes, winning with a majority of 47,080. This victory solidified Verma's association with tdp in pithapuram, where he is synonymous with the party.

Verma's appeal lies in his grassroots connection and local prominence, making him a formidable force independent of party affiliations. His brand transcends party lines, with his presence often eclipsing party allegiances in the region. Despite the jagan wave in 2019, Verma managed to secure 68,467 votes, a testament to his enduring popularity.

In pithapuram, Verma's influence cuts across caste lines, with locals viewing him as the quintessential MLA. Criticism has been directed at ycp MLA Pendem Dorababu for perceived lack of accessibility, further enhancing Verma's standing. TDP's reluctance to field Verma in 2014 led to disappointment among his followers, who feel he was unfairly side lined.

Verma's subsequent tweet expressing his dedication to Pithapuram's development suggests his intent to contest again, potentially as an independent. His followers remain steadfast, believing victory is inevitable with his candidacy.Verma's potential candidacy poses a challenge for Pawan, particularly in securing votes in Pithapuram. His loyal followers may sway towards janasena if Verma decides to contest independently. While Janasena's strength is uncertain, recent electoral performances indicate a promising future. However, to secure victory, substantial support from tdp loyalists is imperative.

Verma holds the key to Pithapuram's political landscape, and his decision to contest will undoubtedly shape the upcoming elections. While tdp aims to placate him with promises of MLC and ministerial positions, Verma's cadre remains steadfast in their support, viewing him as the linchpin of local politics.
