The bharatiya janata party (BJP) has unveiled its third list of candidates for the forthcoming lok sabha elections of 2024, specifically focusing on tamil Nadu. This latest roster comprises 9 candidates who will vie for parliamentary seats across the state.
In this recent announcement, K. Annamalai, the Chief of tamil Nadu bjp, emerges as a prominent nominee, slated to contest from the coimbatore lok sabha constituency. Adding to the line up, tamilisai Sundararajan, who recently stepped down from her role as the governor of Telangana, has been nominated to represent the party in the chennai South constituency.
Further, Vinod P Selvam has been entrusted with the candidacy for the chennai Central seat, while AC Shanmugam has been chosen to contest from Vellore. Noteworthy figures such as Union minister L. Murugan have also been included in the list, with Murugan slated to run from the Nilgiri constituency. Additionally, former Union minister P. Radhakrishnan has been nominated as the candidate for the Kanyakumari lok sabha seat.
With this latest release, the BJP's candidate selection process for the tamil Nadu lok sabha elections is well underway. Notably, the party had previously disclosed two lists of candidates, distributing tickets to 195 individuals in the first round and 72 in the subsequent one.
The introduction of these candidates reflects the BJP's strategic approach to fielding candidates across diverse constituencies in tamil Nadu. As the election fervor intensifies, these nominees are expected to play pivotal roles in the party's electoral strategy and outreach efforts in the state.
