Gurugram police arrested 128 criminals who were absconding...

Gurugram police launched Operation Akraman on saturday (April 27) with the aim of controlling the increasing crime in Millennium City. During this period the police detained 128 criminals. On the basis of interrogation many crimes were revealed. Of these, 31 accused were fugitives and absconded after coming out of jail on bail.  Police recovered 1004 bottles of illegal country liquor, 226 bottles of english liquor and 202 bottles of beer, 874 grams of ganja, cash worth Rs 16,590, 2 country-made cartridges and 2 cartridges from the possession of the accused.

201 police teams involved in the operation

Operation Invasion was carried out by a total of 201 police teams of Gurugram Police. Action was taken against those accused of theft, those who possess and sell illegal liquor, those who possess and sell illegal drugs, those who gamble and feed, wanted criminals and criminals active in various crimes including cyber fraud. A total of 201 police teams comprising of 924 police personnel and officers of Gurugram police were formed in the special operation. On april 27, 2024, from 6 am to 12 noon, the police team united and conducted the raid.

128 arrested including 31 history-sheeters

During Operation Invasion, the police arrested 128 accused in various criminal activities, including 31 proclaimed criminals and post-criminals. 79 cases are registered against these accused in different police stations. During Operation Invasion, a criminal carrying a reward of Rs 5,000 was also arrested by the Gurugram Police. During this period, an accused has also been arrested in a murder case. Two girls who were missing were also recovered by the police during this special operation.
