Mumbai Crime Branch busts child trafficking gang, doctor arrested…
Mumbai Crime Branch had received news that a 5-month-old child named sheetal Ware had been sold to a woman named Kanta Pednekar in Vikhroli area of Mumbai. mumbai Crime Branch started investigating this and when these women were interrogated, the link to this gang selling newborn babies started getting linked and then this big revelation came in this case.
During police interrogation, accused sheetal Vare told that this child was bought for Rs 2 lakh with the help of Dr. Sanjay Khandare, who is a BHMS doctor. mumbai Crime Branch's investigation has revealed that till now about 14 children aged between 5 to 8 months have been trafficked from mumbai, in which many agents also worked and these agents used to work in various fertility centres, where Through this, they used to know which families needed children, they used to contact them and sell the children.
These children have been sold in different states.
Police have also recovered two newborn children in this case and those children have been sent to Asha Center for upbringing. According to the mumbai Crime Branch, all the 14 children whose trafficking has come to light so far are from mumbai, which includes some hospitals in thane district, in which some of the employees are members of this gang. With the help of which these children have been sold in different states of the country.
Police have arrested seven accused in this case whose names are Vandana Pawar age 28 years, sheetal Vare age 41 years, sneha Suryavanshi age 24 years, Naseem Hanif Khan age 28 years, Lata Surwade age 36 years, Sharad Dewar age 45 years and Dr. Sanjay Khandare.
