Prime minister narendra modi is campaigning in maharashtra for the third phase of lok sabha elections. PM Modi addressed a rally in Madha and fiercely attacked ncp founder Sharad Pawar.
PM Modi's target on Sharad Pawar
PM Modi said, "15 years ago a prominent leader had come to Madha to contest elections. people of that time say that this great leader had taken an oath in the presence of the setting sun to provide water to the drought-hit constituency of Madha Lok Sabha. But They did not fulfill this promise. So will you not punish such people?" Targeting sharad pawar in the meeting, prime minister Modi further said that "now the time has come to punish him." Even before this, PM Modi had attacked sharad pawar and today again for the second consecutive day, narendra modi has attacked Sharad Pawar.
PM Modi narendra modi in his speech mentioned Sharad Pawar's tenure as Union Agriculture Minister. He said, "During the congress government in the country, the prominent leader was the Agriculture minister of the country. At that time the FRP rate of sugarcane was Rs 200. However, today in the Modi government, the FRP of sugarcane is Rs 340 per quintal. When this great leader was the Agriculture minister , then sugarcane farmers used to crowd the office of the sugar Commission to get payment of the outstanding bills."
PM Modi further said, "Today 100 percent FRP of sugarcane dues is paid in the country. In 2014, an amount of Rs 57 thousand crore was distributed for the sugarcane FRP dues. This year the same amount is Rs 1 lakh 14 crore. Out of which Rs 32 thousand crores have been received by the sugarcane farmers of Maharashtra."
