Chief Whip of rajasthan Assembly and Jalore mla Jogeshwar Garg has demanded relaxation in the Model Code of Conduct. In a letter sent to the Chief election Commissioner, election Department, government of rajasthan, he said that voting has been completed on all the 25 lok sabha seats of Rajasthan. There is time of one and a quarter month for the counting of votes to be held on june 4.

The Model Code of Conduct is going to be in force in rajasthan during this entire tenure. He told that in a desert state like rajasthan, supply of drinking water is a challenge, especially in summer. The water crisis deepens due to the scorching heat. The mla said that to solve the crisis, the government should take immediate decisions and many works like building new tube wells, new hand pumps and laying new pipelines become very important in the public interest. But due to the Model Code of Conduct, it will not be possible to do all this for the next one and a quarter months. mla Jogeshwar Garg further wrote that electricity supply is also a challenging task during the summer season. It becomes necessary to provide adequate electricity to urban and rural areas for relief from heat.

Jalore mla demands relaxation in code of conduct

Model code of conduct will also be a hindrance in the work of providing electricity. Schools have to get many other tasks done including filling the vacant posts of teachers. He said that in case of diseases caused by heat, humans and animals need adequate medical facilities. But due to vacant posts in both education and health departments, people have to face problems. He said that the approval of many development works is under process in the departments of rajasthan Government.

Election Commission should give permission to carry out work of public interest.

There will be an unnecessary delay of one and a quarter month in completing that process also. Citing these things, he has written a letter to the Commissioner of the election Department demanding some relief. He said that during the Model Code of Conduct, government work is put on hold.
