In 2013, these bicycles were provided by kanpur Development Authority on the request of Senior Superintendent of police Yashasvi Yadav. Now the search for these bicycles worth Rs 13,000 each is being done again.
The police stations where these bicycles were given do not have any bicycles. Now the officials have started an investigation in this matter. It is being ascertained where and in what condition the bicycles are. Also 90 bicycles were bought from a big bicycle dealer of the city. Earlier also an attempt was made to find these bicycles but nothing was found. Now the police has again started looking for the 90 bicycles that disappeared 11 years ago.
The special thing is that the police personnel who were given the bicycles were also given a red helmet along with a white-black uniform. The constables also got wireless so that they could inform the police station if needed. Now investigation and inquiry is being done again in this matter.
