Administration arrived in Jalore to demolish 440 houses...
Police and administration have reached Jalore in rajasthan to remove the houses built on pasture (Oran) land. Regarding this, the reaction of congress candidate from Jalore lok sabha seat, Vaibhav Gehlot has come. He wrote on his social media account The administration is citing the high court order for this. These houses were saved through effective lobbying during the congress government.
Vaibhav Gehlot further wrote, "I believe that due to lack of effective advocacy, the High Court's decision would have been against the villagers. Today, during the action to remove encroachment, the insensitive attitude of the administration also came to light. In this regard, I also talked to the Jalore Collector." It is requested to think sensitively and appeal in favor of these poor people against the decision of the high court and help the villagers in getting justice by stopping this action till the decision of the supreme Court. "I am taking legal advice for this."
Next hearing in high court on May 20
Vaibhav Gehlot wrote that after getting information about the situation from Jalore district Collector, I have taken legal opinion from the lawyer regarding the action being taken on the orders of the high court in Odwara. He told that the next hearing in this matter is to be held in the high court on May 20, before which the administration will have to take action and inform the high court about removing the encroachment. I have discussed this with the supreme court lawyer and have decided to file an application on behalf of the victim's families in the supreme court today for a hearing against this action.
The congress leader said that we hope that the supreme court will get a stay on the demolition of the houses of the affected families as soon as possible and they will get relief. I am with the victim's families in this regard and I am trying my best to ensure justice for them.
