Today (29 May) he reached Chavdar Tala in Mahad, Raigad and burnt copies of Manusmriti to protest against the government's decision. During this, he raised slogans against the government. He also demanded the government to withdraw this decision. Jitendra Awhad went to Chavdar Tala today (29 May) and garlanded the statue of baba Saheb Ambedkar. After this, he burnt the Manusmriti along with his supporters. During this, he raised slogans against the government. Slogans like 'Jai Bhim, doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar ki Jai' were also given. Milind Tipnis and other activists were present with Awhad on this occasion.

Police notice to Jitendra Awhad

When Jitendra Awhad announced to protest by burning Manusmriti, Mahad police issued a notice to stop the protest. This notice has been issued so that law and order is maintained and the code of conduct is not violated. But Aadhav ignored this notice and burnt the copy of Manusmriti at Mahad lake.
