He has created history by winning the 'Scripps National Spelling Bee' competition of America. Bruhat studies in 7th grade in a school in Florida. In the tiebreaker, he won this competition by telling the correct spelling of 29 words. He was given 50,000 US dollars as a prize. Along with this, he also won many other awards.

This year's competition reached the tiebreaker round, where Bruhat defeated his opponent Faizan Zaki by spelling 29 words correctly in 90 seconds. Faizan had spelled only 20 words correctly in the lightning round. Bruhat's championship word was 'abseil', which means to descend with the help of a rope on the protrusion during mountaineering. Bruhat finished first in the tiebreaker and after reaching 30 words, it seemed that no one would be able to beat him. Faizan's initial speed was very fast.
