Roja Selvamani, a former mla and YSRCP leader, has been facing intense scrutiny and criticism following her loss in the nagari constituency by a margin of 45,000 votes. Her tenure as a tourism minister in YS jagan Mohan Reddy's government has come under the spotlight, especially from the supporters of the telugu desam party (TDP) and Jana Sena party (JSP), primarily due to her previous critical remarks about their leaders, pawan kalyan and N. Chandrababu Naidu.

With the formation of the new government, there is heightened anticipation that irregularities from the previous administration may be exposed. Roja is likely to be investigated by the CID over allegations of embezzling 100 crore rupees through sports events like 'Aadudam Andhra' and 'CM Cup', which she spearheaded as tourism minister. These allegations have surfaced through a complaint lodged by RD Prasad, CEO of the Aatya Patya association, implicating both Roja and former SAAP chairman Byreddy siddharth Reddy.

The complaint calls for a comprehensive probe into the management of funds, the allocation of educational seats under the sports quota, and an investigation into all officials involved. There are demands for the CID to seize relevant records and ensure a thorough inquiry.

Additionally, Roja has been accused of misusing her position to collect money through the sale of special darshan tickets at the tirumala tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) allocated to her ministerial quota. Her frequent visits to tirumala with her followers and the alleged sale of these tickets have drawn sharp criticism from opposition parties, who accuse her of exploiting her ministerial powers for personal gain.
