These are the facilities and rights of the main opposition party..!?

* Till 1977 there was no provision for the main opposition status.

* Which party is the main opposition in ap this time?

Whether in the Legislature or in the lok sabha, there are two, the ruling party and the main opposition party. The ruling party with the most seats in the assembly or parliament is called the ruling party, and the party with the most seats after that is called the main opposition party. In fact, it was not until the year 1977 that there was any requirement regarding the status of the main opposition. Whichever is the second largest party is given the status of main opposition. But for the first time in 1977, it was given legitimacy as the main opposition party after the defeat of the Congress. According to the rules framed in 1977, the chief leader of the party having the status of main opposition has been given certain powers, facilities, and rights. But to get the status of the main opposition in the assembly, that party should have exactly 10% seats. Only the party that gets it gets the status of the main opposition party in the assembly or parliament.
According to this calculation, the party that won 55 seats in the lok sabha and 18 seats in the andhra pradesh Legislative assembly will continue to be the main opposition party. If these seats are more than this, the Speaker will announce the party as the main opposition party. The leader of the main opposition party has the status of a cabinet minister. Opposition gets priority in allotment of seats in the House. In addition to having cabinet status, PS, PA co-staff allowances, and corresponding protocols are also available.

Also, it is customary for the Speaker to approach the main opposition leader several times during the debates in the House. The main opposition party also has more leeway when it comes to asking questions in the House. Many facilities and rights are available to the main opposition party. In the recently held elections in the state of andhra pradesh, tdp won 135 assembly seats, Jana Sena 21, ycp 11, and bjp 8. Judging by this, Jana Sena should get the status of the main opposition party. But tdp, janasena, and bjp are in alliance. So whether janasena will be given that status or not has become a suspense. And it seems that the ycp party is almost nowhere near the status of the main opposition. And it remains to be seen which party will continue to be the main opposition party in Andhra Pradesh.
