The first budget of Modi government 3.O was presented by Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on tuesday (July 23). Along with the budget, all eyes were on how much the central government's focus would be on the electoral states. Although no special announcement was made about the electoral states in the budget, some schemes can definitely benefit a large section of these states.

Free Ration Scheme

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on tuesday (July 23) that the free ration scheme will be continued for the next five years as well. The important thing is that about 35 lakh beneficiaries of free ration are from Maharashtra, jharkhand and Haryana. While 1.10 crore people are being given free ration in Maharashtra, about 34 lakh people of Jharkhand are taking advantage of this scheme. If we talk about haryanathen about 12 lakh people are taking advantage of the free ration scheme here.

Announcement of Purvodaya Yojana

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the launch of Purvodaya Yojana while presenting the Union Budget. The Finance minister said that the states of the eastern part will get the benefit of this scheme. The important thing is that under Purvodaya Yojana, jharkhand is also being covered along with Bihar, West Bengal, odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Under this scheme, there is talk of creating opportunities for infrastructure and economic development along with new resource development.
