Lal john Basha who defeated the fighter NG Ranga..!
Acharya Gogineni Ranga was born on november 7, 1900 at Nidubrolu in guntur district as he is known as Nidubrolu Gogineni Ranga alias NG Ranga. After completing his primary education at Nidubrolu, he graduated from Andhra Christian College, Guntur. After returning to india with B.Litt in economics from Oxford university in 1926, he worked as Professor of economics at Pachayappa College, Madras. Indian freedom fighter, classical liberal, parliamentarian and farmers' leader. He is the founding president of Swatantra Party and the echo of peasant philosophy. He received Padma Vibhushan Award for his contribution to the peasant movement. Ranga wrote 65 books in english and 15 in Telugu. Among them, bapu Asishulu, Nilgiri Hill Tribes, Modern Constitutional Institutions, Kakatiya Nayak... are well known. brought Ranga served in the indian Parliament for six decades from 1930 to 1991. For that, he earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. Ranga was inspired by Gandhi's call in 1930 and joined the freedom movement.
In 1933, Wright led the agitation. bapu wrote a book called Blessings about his discussions with gandhi, and his pro-peasant advocacy is reflected in his support of the peasant agitation against zamindari oppression in Venkatagiri. Despite opposition from other Congress members, he convinced gandhi to support the movement.
The Kisan Manifesto released in August 1936 demanded the abolition of the zamindari system and abolition of rural loans. Later, with the intention of becoming active in politics, in 1951, Ranga was defeated by Neelam Sanjiva Reddy in the presidential election of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee . Due to ideological differences, Ranga and Tanguturi resigned from the prakasam Congress and formed the Hyderabad State Praja party, which split into the Krishikar Lok Party (KLP) for Farmers with Ranga as president.
The KLP contested the 1951 Lok Sabha elections and won one seat. The KLP also contested the 1952 madras Legislative assembly elections and won 15 seats. Later due to some reasons, it broke with Nehru and came out of the congress and re-contested the elections through the Swatantra Party , but in that election, his Swatantra PartyAfter suffering a crushing defeat, Ranga rejoined the indian national congress and supported Indira Gandhi to advance her cause of upliftment of the peasantry. He was elected to rajya sabha from madras state in 1952 and Andhra Pradesh in 1977 . He represented Tenali , Chittoor, srikakulam and guntur constituencies in the Lok Sabha at various times from 1957 to 1991. He contested the lok sabha from guntur on behalf of the Congress party in the last election in 1991. He gave a tough contest. The defeat of the NG in that election left a deep disappointment in the Congress . He breathed his last in the year 1995.
