Active in studies since childhood, Rajini completed her studies and worked as a software employee in a leading company in Hyderabad. She was married to Vidadala Kumaraswamy. Both of them have two children. They settled in America. There they established a software company and provided employment to many people. She was financially well established and thought to come back to her country and do public service. Her husband Kumaraswamy supported her decision. Rajini also supported tdp as many NRIs supported tdp during the state bifurcation in 2014. Vidudala Rajini joined tdp in the presence of prathipati pullarao and started her political career.
She considered prathipati pullarao, a local mla and former minister, to be her political mentor. Also, she has always been in touch with the people and has been providing assistance to the poor through the VR Foundation she established. Also, Rajini gave a speech in the Mahanadu Sabha for the first time and all the telugu people including Chandrababu were surprised. But in the 2019 elections, rajani asked the tdp leadership to give her a Chilakaluripet mla ticket. But tdp leader Chandrababu did not agree to that at all. He decided that he could not give her a seat and not senior leader Pullarao. With this, she defied her mentor and joined YCP. Seeing Rajini's craze, jagan is a local ycp MLA. The ticket was allotted to Raji and not to the candidate Marri Rajasekhar. Raji, who got the mla ticket, widely publicized it and became very aware of local issues. She said that if she wins as mla, she will complete all the pending work. She also propagated fraud. With this, the local people won her. Apart from that, she got the post of minister for the first time as an MLA


She worked as the mother of the health department of Andhra Pradesh. Thus her political career continued from mla to minister. However, due to strong opposition to ycp in the state, Rajini lost in the 2024 elections with a huge majority margin.
