punjab health minister Balbir Singh on saturday claimed that the law and order situation in the state is better than all the states with 'double engine government'. When asked about the letter written by Union minister nitin gadkari to chief minister Bhagwant Mann, Balbir Singh said that check the data of National Crime Records Bureau, the law and order of punjab is better than Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, rajasthan and all other states with 'double engine' government.

Balbir Singh said, "Do not make statements that tarnish the image of punjab, stop the state's funds or speak ill about its farmers. punjab is a border state, do not destabilize it."

Union Road Transport and Highways minister nitin gadkari had written a letter to cm Bhagwant Mann asking him to improve the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab. The punjab minister said, "Why is Union minister nitin gadkari writing a letter, I tell him to call punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann. You also come, there will be farmers on one side. You will talk for 15-20 minutes, accept the legitimate demands of the farmers, the issue will be resolved. If a farmer is getting one crore rupees, and another is getting 50 lakhs, then he will protest."

The health minister further said that tell the farmers how much money they will get for their land and why. In a letter written to Bhagwant Mann, nitin gadkari has said that if the law and order of punjab does not improve, then the NHAI-8 project will be cancelled. The contractors carrying out construction work on the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway are receiving death threats. Also, violent incidents are happening here every day.
